The Division of Student Success is seeking applications for the Career Development Center Office Manager position. The Office Manager manages all components of the Spartan Career Path system, provides direct career services to students and employers, coordinates departmental data and reporting, and provides office management and administrative support. The Office Manager maintains consistent contact with students, alumni, employers, the public and the York College community and delivers excellent customer service through communication, organization and project management.
The Career Development Center provides programs, resources and services to a diverse population of students, employers, faculty, and staff at York College of Pennsylvania related to career exploration and research, development of relevant skills through experiences, and job/internship search skills and competencies. The Office Manager focuses on three areas: Spartan Career Path; Reporting and Data; and Student Services, Outreach & Events. Additionally the Office Manager provides training and supervision to student staff.
The anticipated start date for this position is late August 2018.
Qualifications for this position is an associate's degree (bachelor's degree preferred); five years of professional experience in higher education or employer recruitment working with college students/job candidates, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment; the ability to communicate effectively through email, phone, and in-person including individual and group presentations with a variety of people; strong data management, analysis and reporting skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel in particular); and technical skills including social media and database experience preferred. Candidates must have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills while balancing a variety of projects and tasks and multiple deadlines in a high traffic setting.
