Director National Sales, Cardiopulmonary

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director, National Sales Cardiopulmonary, are to:

  • Evaluate markets and allocate resources in order to meet the Business goals and objectives relative to sales performance and quota achievement;

  • Provide overall direction to the sales management team on issues such as sales targets, performance and call planning;

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to assure achievement of Marketing Plan objectives;

  • Monitor the implementation of the sales plan to ensure success;

  • Design national sales plan in conjunction with marketing and assure effective implementation;

  • Provide strategic input and direction for product plans and serve as primary liaison between marketing and sales;

  • Establish and manage budget for people and staffing needs, negotiate for funds to meet these needs working with the Sales Business;

  • Manage, assess and prioritize sales business performance short-term and long-term needs;

  • Monitor and control field sales expenses;

  • Fosters strategic long term relationships with influential customers on a national basis and identify gaps both current and ideal;

  • In collaboration with the Field Sales Director (FSD) help close the gaps in the area to provide success in sales;

  • Develop and direct the implementation of field sales practices and procedures in order to guide the field sales force to optimum efficiency and motivational effort;

  • Provide successful feedback, ongoing monitoring and coaching;

  • Utilize knowledge of the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) therapeutic space due to the specialized needs of the marketplace (using account based experience and coaching skills).

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years’ experience with at least seven years in a management level position (Regional Manager, Product Management);

  • Skills and experience are to include sales and commercial team leadership plus demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Sales Training, Marketing and Market Access;

  • Must possess the capability of analyzing trends and identifying opportunities to realize maximum results from the implementation of the brand plan;

  • Must possess the managerial ability to effectively organize and direct the functions under incumbent's control;

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with sales and non-sales personnel at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business;

  • Direct experience in the pulmonary arterial hypertension marketplace.
