The major objectives of the Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator position are to develop and employ sourcing and recruiting plans that ensure a strong candidate flow, hiring the best possible talent for field positions and fully staffing crews for each facility. Field positions include maintenance, snow, turf & plant health-care, irrigation, and tree divisions as well as shop. Provide administrative recruiting support as well as assist other areas within the HR department with items such as event planning, general HR administration, safety, benefits support, programs development and committee participation. The ideal person with have a strong creative abilities to help with marketing campaigns as well as produce videos and other materials needed in recruitment efforts. The Human Resources Coordinator/ Recruiter will also maintain a positive image for Acres in the field and in the industry.

Source candidates for field positions including maintenance, turf & plant healthcare, irrigation, and tree divisions as well as shop. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. Network within the community, through industry contacts, association/trade memberships, high schools, community events and employees in order to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and work with hiring managers to do the same. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates. Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale and source new candidate leads.
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Build networks to create a pipeline of qualified passive candidates.
Assist in developing and implementing annual snow recruiting plans to achieve full staffing in snow operations.
Aid marketing and HR in developing an “Employer of Choice” reputation for Acres.
Attend job fairs and community events to recruit field employees for both lawn and snow seasons; Investigate and schedule job fairs, track results and log candidates post event.
Coordinate company recruiting and on-boarding processes:
Recruit through a variety of sources tracking which deliver the best results;
Utilize and maintain recruiting software for tracking applicants and communication;
Assist in managing and maintaining your recruiter Facebook page, Acres Group Careers Facebook page, and social media recruiting plan;
Create a recruiting and interviewing plan with hiring managers for each open position;
Place employment advertisement;
Update internal job board and web site postings;
Assist managers in drafting and maintaining job descriptions;
Perform employment reference checks;
Set up pre-employment drug screens;
In conjunction with HR Managers assure all the appropriate documentation is signed and filed in new hire files, including WOTC paperwork and the necessary follow-up it requires with our WOTC partner;
Update and maintain the ancillary services and shop organizational chart;
Follow-up with hiring managers after filling positions to evaluate how the new hire is doing and to determine the effectiveness of the recruiting plan determining continuous improvement for next time;
Follow-up with new field staff hires, troubleshoot issues, maintain relationships, assist in minimizing employee turnover.
Complete the recruiting tactics checklist in conjunction with your manager before both lawn and snow seasons.
Develop and manage the high school recruiting program with the primary goal of attracting students to a career at Acres.
Develop relationship with guidance counselors, horticulture/ag teachers and other appropriate school personnel along with students;
Make class presentations and attend career/job fairs;
Coordinate and attend tours/events at Acres Group facilities for students;
Develop and implement a “summer work program” for students to explore their long term career interest.
Assist with salaried and office sourcing and recruiting as needed.
Assist with on-campus recruiting and events as needed.
Assist with administration of the internship program.
Assist in selecting and managing the use of temporary agencies, recruiters and headhunters for field recruiting.
Assist with the annual H2b recruiting process as needed.
Provide recruiting content for the Acres Arrow newsletter.
Assist in HRMS data entry and running reports.
Provide input for annual budget preparation, i.e., expenses for employment advertising and work within the annually established budget.
Provide department administrative, project and organizational support.
Assist with preparation and execution of landscape season kickoff/training week, and snow season preparation and execution of paperwork days.
Assist with the execution of departmental projects and strategic goals providing status updates and meeting established timelines; assist with annual tailgate review for selected department(s).
Attend, participate and assist in planning and executing meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Plan weekly and daily activities in advance to ensure efficient time use and positive end results. Prepare and communicate weekly top 5 priorities.
Assist with snow dispatch as needed.
Partner with staff from other departments on special projects and/or company goals.
REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
The ability to service all levels within an organization, including both field employees and office, with a positive attitude as well as the ability to handle highly sensitive data in an appropriate manner.
The ability to effectively initiate, pursue and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
Stong background in Social Media for job postings and recruitment (Facebook, Instagram etc.)
Strong creative skillset, able to produce catchy job postings--some exposure to creating videos and creative marketing campaigns highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including computer literacy especially with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as ATS systems.
Excellent teamwork, communication, administrative, and organizational skills; accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, belief in personal accountability, and positive attitude.
Capable of prioritizing work-flow and detail orientation.
The ability to identify problems and work in conjunction with others to implement effective solutions.
The ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and with a team.
Three to five years’ experience in Human Resources, recruiting and/or administration.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Base salary up to $45,000 with TOP NOTCH benefits package
