An internship opportunity is available with our ABA Foundation Group to assist with marketing, engagement, and research for the Foundation’s efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the foundation team to promote banker engagement with communities by adapting and delivering financial literacy programs to children, teens, young adults, and seniors.

  • Coordinating ABA Foundation efforts to recognize and promote the ways banks contribute to economic growth and community development through the Community Commitment Awards program.

  • Supporting the ABA Foundation in modifying and replicating the Older Americans Bench-marking Survey to understand how banks are supporting seniors and combating elder financial abuse.

  • Researching organizations that would benefit from ABA Financial Literacy programs and supporting the foundation team in marketing the FinEdLink portal.

  • Assisting the foundation team with communications efforts, such as developing content for monthly Spirit of Banking newsletter.

  • Performing general administrative duties, as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Interest in financial literacy, community development, affordable housing, and/or nonprofit management.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience with writing briefs and reports.

  • Self-motivation; ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • Willing to work on highly collaborative teams.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to pay close attention to detail, with strong organization skills.

  • Strong research skills and the ability to analyze and report/summarize information.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with web-based research required.

Minimum Education:

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate or Graduate student with relevant education

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Duration/Hours :

  • June 2019 – August 2019

  • Pay rate is $20.00/hour

  • Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
