PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of SAP Design, the SAP Design AppHaus is a global team of 75 designers and program managers in five locations who work closely with customers and other teams within SAP. We focus on people to create business value and foster a culture of innovation. We follow this mission by applying design thinking and deisign doing methods to the business challenges of our customers.

We offer them user-centric design solutions, enable them to establish a design mindset in their company culture, and help to re-design and optimize business processes.

We are looking for an intern/ working student who works with us in communications, shares our stories across various channels, and engages in the dialogue with our target groups.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • As an intern or working student you will be working directly with the Global AppHaus Communications and Marketing Lead, supporting both internal and external communications on various topics (customer projects, future of work, design thinking);

  • You will support the Marketing Communications Lead in developing and executing an impactful communication strategy together with our five locations

  • You will analyze relevant stakeholder groups and strategic topics, summarize research results, derive recommendations for action and develop communication concepts

  • You will work on writing articles for our internal and external target groups spanning from customer success stories to thought leadership pieces and pitch them to adequate channels

  • You will create content such as cross-media campaign strategies, messaging and positioning documents, articles, social media content and customer success stories or video scripts to spread the word about SAP’s growing focus on usability and design

  • Close collaboration with SAP Global Marketing and Communications to spread our news on SAP corporate channels (internally externally)

  • You are not alone and will closely align your tasks with the global AppHaus communications lead

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Currently enrolled as student at a university or a university of applied sciences

  • A background in communication management / strategic communication / marketing / writing

  • Experience and passion in writing for various target groups is a strong plus

  • Understanding for or practical experience in strategic communication

  • A high degree of professionalism & communicational maturity is expected

  • We look for someone who is proactively contributing with ideas rather than only taking top-down orders

  • You will have the chance to think out of the box and bring your analytical thinking as well as creativity to support driving our topics, communicating wisely, and finding new ways to reach our target groups in a creative working environment

  • You will learn about design and design thinking methodology while working in a multi-disciplinary team with great designers, including the option to develop your design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  • Language skills: Excellent English and German skills (speaking and writing)

  • Computer skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office; optional: design skills, e.g. creation of infographics

  • Soft skills: Team-Player, curious, strategic thinker and doer, creative, good communication and presentation skills, open, responsible, self-reliant
