PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP, the world's leading provider of business solutions, is offering an internship position within the SAP editorial team of its Global Marketing unit. SAP Global Marketing is charged with driving perception of SAP as the world's leading business solution provider, recognized thought leader, responsible corporate citizen, as well as business partner, vendor, and investment of choice.

SAP News Services provides editorial oversight to ensure a relevant, consistent, quality experience for audiences on several digital channels. One of these channels is the SAP News Center that provides a comprehensive, single place for SAP-related news.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will get the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in online journalism. You will learn about both the editorial and technical aspects of running publications targeted at a global audience. Your tasks will comprise the following:

  • Writing, editing, and proofreading of articles and publishing through our set of content

  • management tools

  • Research and interviews on SAP-related topics

  • Editorial support

  • Social Media Management

  • Project support

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student at a university or a university of applied sciences

  • Preferred fields of study: journalism, communications, humanities, or related technical fields

  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Office, basic skills in image editing software (Adobe Photoshop)

  • Language skills: very good German and English, both written and spoken; additional language is a plus

  • Soft skills: Highly motivated and self-driven team player, experience in international teams would be a plus

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Editorial experience, basic knowledge in image editing (Adobe Photoshop) and in Web Publishing (e.g. WordPress) would be an advantage. Please add sample texts (published articles, seminar paper) if available.
