PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP applications and services enable our customers to operate profitably, adapt continuously, and grow sustainably. SAP Language Services (SLS), as part of Globalization Services, is responsible for translating all SAP software products and other non-coded assets into 39 languages. We are looking for temporary support for our SLS Marketing translation service team.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Your main tasks will include:

  • Checking source and translation layout

  • Processing tasks in internal translation project management solution Sol and translation editor Smartling

  • Solving errors occurring during verification of translated content

  • Managing translation queries via a tracking tool

  • Creating and updating internal process documentation

  • Supporting project managers during testing scenarios (Sol and Smartling)

Other tasks will include:

  • Participating in cross-team process improvement discussions and activities

  • Creating reports on service team data

  • Supporting terminology improvement initiatives

  • Organizing team events

  • Writing content about team activities/projects using internal communication platforms (i.e. SAPJam)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate should have the following profile:

  • Student at university or university of applied sciences

  • Computer skills: You have a good knowledge of industry-standard systems translation memory tools and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Smartling, data analysis skills, knowledge of social media tools and macro-scripting and programming abilities are a plus.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English (main working language) and German.

  • Soft skills: Team-player with good communication skills and intercultural sensitivity for the work in a global team. Flexible, reliable, stress-resistant.

Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
