HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary roles will be to support the Lifestyle Human Resources and Talent Management teams.
Assist with all aspects of the new hire process and termination process (package preparation, Smartforms, iBoard Resource Requests)
Assist recruiting efforts within Lifestyle Audio
Assist with implementing Harman’s Employment Value Proposition (EVP) within Lifestyle Audio
Collect feedback from Harman Lifestyle Audio talent ambassadors
Monitor social media to gauge the impact of the launch of the EVP
Provide support with an audit of personnel files
Assist with Harman People Cycles, specifically Succession Planning
Perform data quality checks and produce progress reports to update internal HR Team
Assist in the planning and execution of the 2019 summer intern program
Benchmark best practices and make recommendations for changes and improvements
Partner with HRIS and local HR to improve data quality lined to HRIS and HTC system
Provide support to the LS HR Team as needed on various projects
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Human Resources, Management or other related Business fields
Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Must provide work availability from May 2019 – August 2019 and be able to work 40 hours per week
Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
Must provide proper work authorization
Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work in an office in Northridge CA.
