Role: Employer Brand Specialist

Pontoon are looking to hire a permanent EB Specialist to be based on-site with our client, Ericsson in Reading, UK. This is a key role within our TA team in Europe, In this role, you will support the delivery of global Employer Brand, University Relations, and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives into the local market by translating requirements into a yearly plan for the market and working closely with the TA Leader to prioritize additional local needs for the region.

In this role you will responsible for combining Employer Branding, University Relations and D&I; activities, to support delivery of the global strategy within local organisations across the region.

Employer Brand Activities:

You will be the regional EB lead, responsible for the strategy and delivery of local content, events and organising the sharing of knowledge and resources within the Talent Acquisition and hiring manager communities.


Alongside the local TA leads, provide recommendations for EB strategy based on local data. You will also interpret the central, global employer brand strategy, and in line with the local considerations, customise the brand strategy to address local priorities and oversee the delivery of country specific content.

Your role will include the identification and coordination of local events, as well as the promotion, provision of career site content

When required, you will be responsible for in coordinating the communications of internal and external EB activities. Your role will be to connect local External Communications with Global EB to secure local print, radio and media channels.

Your role will also include managing and developing the employee referral program

University Relations (UR)

You will be coordinating the promotion of the Ericsson Innovation Awards, a regional university level competition and in collaboration with TA ensuring the regional finalists and winners are interviewed for internships/ graduate opportunities.

By working with local recruiters and EB Specialists you will be deciding on target universities to identify relevant university relations events and launch and coordinate student ambassadors program and ensuring the and leadership attend target university events

You’ll act as UR Lead, implementing local strategy, coordinate local social media and virtual activities

Working with TA team you will need to track events and provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports to TA leadership on activities.

Diversity & Inclusion

Your role will include communication of Global D&I; event messaging, you’ll need to coordinate, drive and track the performance of local D&I; events in alignment with global campaign

You’ll be delivering global key D&I; initiatives in collaboration with local D&I; drivers, internal and external communications and supporting initiatives such as Girls Who Innovate by engaging judges and organizing local elements.

Coordinating and supporting gender hiring strategy execution including the delivery of D&I; materials and toolkits and by participating in local D&I; conferences, awards and Diversity EB sessions


Must Have

  • A Bachelor degree is required preferably in a Human Resources, Marketing or related experience
  • Commercial experience with employment branding including developing and delivering branding both digital and non-digital assets; managing web presences, social assets or digital content; creating and curating content and messaging
  • Nice to Have

  • Masters Business degree is desirable

  • Experience with marketing and branding
  • Experience with working on Diversity awareness programs and projects
  • Experience with working in a Fortune 500 company with a complex matrixed organization structure and business model
  • Experience in working in virtual global teams
