Now in its 30th year, the ELC annually serves on- and off-site over 30,000 children and adults through school excursion, camp, lectures series, adult education, professional development, internships, family festivals, youth outreach, and numerous partnerships and other programs. The ideal candidate will be an active listener and engaging storyteller, able to build authentic connections with current and prospective funders.Specific Duties:Work with the development team to create fundraising communications including grant proposals, case statements, and other major donor cultivation materials. Draft member and donor communications and execute their mailings and distribution.Produce and distribute regular external communications, develop text and graphic templates, manage interface with website. Draft, edit and submit written content for newsletters, annual reports, brochures, promotional materials, press releases, ads and media packets. Develop and execute a strategy for online mobilization, outreach and small-donor fundraising.Implement and monitor metrics and analysis of online fundraising and constituent mobilization campaigns.E-communications management and email marketing - Monitor and track constituents in Constant Contact, strategize and target e-communications to various stakeholder groups.Maintain e-communications lists and regularly update constituent email addresses.Execute and maintain a fresh web presence for the organization with an emphasis on constituent engagement and fundraising.Strategize and maintain a social media presence that aligns with program and development goals.Promote and strengthen the ELC brand.Manage a small portfolio of individual donors.Supervise volunteers and interns in support of all development communications.Serve as lead media contact. Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets.Other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations with a minimum of three years' experience working in either a development or public relations setting.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and other graphics programs.Experience using CRM (customer relationship management) systems. Conversant in Constant Contact (or similar) and able to manage interface with DonorPerfect.Basic image editing skills; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or similar tools a plus.Experience working successfully with multiple deadlines.Requiresiwriting and proofreading skills.Mission-driven and passionate about the work of the ELC.A i
