The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a flexible twelve month program that addresses the onboarding needs of engineers and technologists hired directly into their full time positions.
Associate / Sr. Associate Design Engineer in the electric rope shovel (ERS) and dragline (DGL) engineering team. This is an entry level, degreed engineering position, with job assignments planned to provide experience and familiarization with the technical staff, methods, practices, and programs of the company and assigned area. The engineer in this position will provide design and maintenance support of various systems and components, including but not limited to structures, gearboxes, gearing, brakes, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems. This work will focus on aftermarket product design, design improvements, field and manufacturing issue resolution, and cost reduction, and will require interaction with various different teams and suppliers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Key role is to learn and assist
Perform analysis and initiate ideas
Evaluate new products, processes, or systems
Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
Contribute to the design of new products and processes, create solid models/drawings
Perform product and process maintenance
Support other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers

Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college or have completed a minimum Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Physics with a graduation date of December 2018 or before
Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0/4.0 (no rounding) at current institution
