The Role:

Ticketmaster's Agency team is seeking college-credit intern candidates for the Fall ’18 and Winter ‘19 semesters! The Marketing Intern will provide internal team support for our Venues & Promoters segment, gaining hands-on experience in live event marketing, including how to create marketing campaigns that drive results. This position will work closely with Account Managers, Marketing Managers and Coordinators and focus heavily on digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate excels at being a proactive self-starter – identifying potential value-added projects for their team and leading those projects on his/her own initiative. He or she also possesses the ability to manage many day-to-day projects across multiple team members simultaneously, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, digital media-focused work environment.

Please note: This internship MUST be for college credit. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (approximately 20 per week) to reflect the needs of your college credit requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain digital marketing experience in working with team members managing client campaigns for programmatic display, SEM, and paid social

  • Develop photo editing skills necessary for use in customizing images for TM.com and Alerts

  • Gain knowledge of email best practices and experience in building and deploying email campaigns

  • Learn reporting tools and how to measure success by setting up and tracking client promotions and marketing exposure

  • Conduct research to help keep the team aware of emerging trends within digital marketing

  • Assist Venues & Promoters marketing team with building digital marketing campaigns across social, SEM, and programmatic channels

  • Develop skills needed for creating compelling and engaging client presentations

  • Be proactive in learning new tasks and supporting the Venues & Promoters team

  • Gain real-world experience by working with our marketing team both in-office and remotely across other U.S. offices on day-to-day activities and projects.

  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills

Qualifications:

  • Passion for live entertainment - music, sports, arts & theater and/or family events

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school majoring in business, marketing, communication or related field (able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)

  • Must be in junior class standing or above

  • Must be able to commit to a work schedule of 3-5 days per week, Monday-Friday (minimum 20 per week)

  • Local applicants only, position is located in Troy, MI

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Detail oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and absorb at a fast pace

  • Self-starter with the ability to take direction from multiple sources

  • Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
