The Employee Visual Communications Intern will assist the Tacoma Power Internal Communications team in planning, creating, and distributing content to align and inspire Tacoma Power's workforce with communication on key strategic initiatives, values, mission, vision, and culture building.
This internship opportunity is for a college student to apply their current studies, receive hands-on experience, and work side-by-side with experienced communications professionals at Tacoma Power including Alex Abplanalp and Sarah Nystrom. (Connect with us on LinkedIn!)
This opportunity is open to students of communications, arts and media, technology, or other related field. Students with an interest in working with large corporate, governmental, or non-profit organizations as well as an interest in storytelling, energy, or public service are encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will have a strong sense of internal customer or end user needs and can interpret that into digital or visual form.
A flexible part-time schedule may be available during the school year depending on your availability. Additional hours may be available during the summer.
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or a recent graduate who has completed a degree within the last year Preferred:
Aptitude for technology
Student in communications, arts and media, technology, psychology, or other related field Knowledge & Skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
