The Intern for Storage & Availability Business Unit (SABU) will be based in our EMEA HQ in Staines and will support Nick Cross and his EMEA HCI Leadership team. We will ensure the successful intern has exposure to all elements of the organisation, working with multiple stakeholders in cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Partner, Technical), across the EMEA region and interacting with Customers and Partners at events held by VMware.

  1. Sales Operations – Supporting the operational tasks within the EMEA HCI team as well as taking responsibility for sales programs and initiatives run across the regions. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an international sales organisation, to learn first-hand how teams are run and to help drive execution of strategic projects across different countries and cultures.

  2. Marketing – Working in partnership with the marketing team on creative and impactful marketing programs - spanning digital, events, communications, demand generation, sales acceleration, brand awareness & operations. You will gain invaluable experience in business to business high technology marketing with a leading global brand. This combination of planning, practical execution and exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines will ensure that you contribute to VMware’s success and can demonstrate proven marketing skills.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Sales Operations: Gain deep insights into a sales organization and be able to learn first-hand from the leadership team. Additionally, work with multiple partners across the organization and countries including the US headquarter

• Marketing Operations: Delivery of databases (Atlas), email campaigns (Eloqua) and lead management routing (Salesforce)

• End to End Event Management: Working with the Marketing Teams to execute customer events and webinars, and liaising with external marketing and support agencies on logistics of events

• Project Management: Opportunity to be involved in high quality execution of key projects throughout the internship.

• Reporting: Communicating plans and activity results to the EMEA HCI team

Required Skills:

  • Results and impact driven project manager, with strong time management skills, attention to detail and ability to work with distributed teams.

  • Good problem solver with strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate this into business actions

  • Enthusiastic self-starter, confident in working independently, thinking outside of the box and taking ownership of tasks

  • Good communicator across all mediums, both verbal and nonverbal

  • PPT, XLS and Social media skills

  • Fluent in English – other languages would be an advantage but not essential

  • Prepared to travel if required
