POSITION SUMMARY: The Recruiter is responsible for candidate generation through clever and strategic sourcing, posting, networking and research. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all internal and external applicant data, and management of the Applicant Tracking System. In addition, you will have knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to employment and recruitment, as well as a thorough knowledge of full-cycle recruitment. The recruiter works very closely with vessel staff to meet their time-sensitive needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.) • Partner with the recruitment team to strategize sourcing and talent searching. • Assist with Posting open positions on job boards and social media. • Assist with sourcing qualified and experienced candidates to ensure company vessels are fully staffed. • Plan recruiting events, including orientations and in-person interviews • Manage multiple MS Outlook calendars while scheduling between recruiters and candidates. • Attend career fairs and networking events. • Assist in the company's annual summer internship program. • Maintain the internal applicant tracking system. • Identify alternative staffing sources • Review job postings for consistency, accuracy, and EEO compliance • Assist with travel arrangements • Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email • Assisting in the coordination of other recruiting activities as needed • Conduct initial phone screens/contact with candidates • Support the process of sourcing, recruiting and onboarding of over 3,000 seasonal employees. • Data entry into HRIS and cloud base business applications. • Audit and file I-9 documents, authorize drug screens, support department with employment verifications, unemployment claims. • Provide back-up receptionist duties. JOB SCOPE: The role operates within general parameter, but must use sound judgment and independent decision making when carrying out job responsibilities. The individual is a key participant in recruitment and Human Resources functions company-wide. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: This role interfaces with everyone inside the corporate entity from executives to management to hourly employees. He/she interfaces regularly with external people including candidates, employees, networking partners, event participants, etc. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written for constant interaction with all departments and employee levels and outside customers • Must have the analytical ability to research problem areas and special requests • Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter • Ability to exercise sound judgment, work well independently, prioritize duties and follow through tasks to completion • Must be able to handle confidential matters, understanding the various laws and regulations apply to this which must be adhered to • Must be able to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively and respond well to last minute, high priority, and time sensitive projects • Must be able to handle the pressure of constant interruptions • Must be able to schedule, direct and organize work within a diverse department and coordinate work with other departments to maintain efficiency • Skill using PC and Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS/ATS/database and other software applicatio
