We are looking for an intern to join the Intel Datacenter Solutions Group where you can work side by side with software engineers and architects to develop cloud infrastructure modernization components using state of the art Intel platform and software technologies. These assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school. You will be working on one or more of the following technologies:
Cloud software development
OpenStack, Containers and Functions including Docker runtime and Kubernetes/Mesos orchestration
Cloud services including databases, AI/ML, Deep Learning frameworks, media processing
Leveraging Intel innovations in compute, storage and networking
Automated configuration and infrastructure management
Benchmarking frameworks and cloud workloads analysis/optimizations
DevOps and CI/CD
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ months experience in:
One or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, etc.
Understanding of Linux system administration and operating system internals
Working with one or more cloud infrastructure domains like CPUs, chipsets, persistent memory/storage, networking like SmartNICs and switches, etc.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Experience in one or more virtualization technologies including OpenStack, container orchestration like Kubernetes or Apache Mesos, micro-services, serverless or functions
Prior experience with any of the cloud platform infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.
Experience in cloud workload software optimizations like AI frameworks, data plane acceleration, hardware accelerations using FPGAs, performance tuning, etc.
Experience in configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet, networking tools like iPerf, traffic generators, and benchmarks like Spec Cloud.
