Marketing Associate, Small Business Card Marketing

Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative and passionate marketing associate to join a brand strategy team that will deliver breakthrough marketing strategies that elevate our Small Business brand to #1 in the marketplace. This role will give the associate an opportunity to contribute in developing integrated marketing strategies that will flex muscles of traditional brand strategy, channel marketing, content development, experiential marketing and influencer-based executions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing marketing campaign from concept to launch, inclusive of research, strategy and channel development, test design and performance metrics

  • Lead the strategy and execution of tactical channel strategies – writing briefs, briefing creative teams and following through execution

  • Manage all campaign and team project management

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including product, design, PR, media and other channel leads to integrate campaigns across relevant channels

  • Collaborate with analyst teams to understand total business performance, identify new opportunities and adjust marketing/testing strategies

Associate should bring:

  • Experience in contributing to marketing and brand strategy efforts in large organizations, agencies or at an internship

  • An understanding of the marketing funnel and how to optimize it at each stage across a variety of marketing channels (e.g: direct mail, digital channels, content marketing, social media, print, radio, television).

  • Detailed-oriented with strong project management and prioritization skills to successfully manage multiple projects to tight timelines

  • A curious mindset with a passion to deliver bold, innovative marketing strategies at a brand and tactical level

  • Experience working with creative teams and agencies.

  • Solid communication skills with experience conveying ideas to end users, leadership and partner teams alike

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience

  • At least 6 months of marketing experience with broad knowledge across marketing disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in brand strategy
