(6 Month Internship, Full Time)

The Communications Intern will be responsible for media briefings, media database organization, and cultivating new media relationships in a high-energy work environment with creative professionals. The intern in this position needs to be able to multi-task and be able to adapt to various situations.


  • Press Release And Media Alert Construction
  • Maintaining Master Media Lists, Briefing Books
  • Assist And Develop Strategy Decks For Varying Audiences
  • On-Site Event Management Tasks, Including Managing Set-Up And Flow (As Needed)
  • Develop And Maintain Media Clipping Database
  • Assist With Idea Generation And Development Of News Stories, Articles, Presentations, Talking Points, Videos, Social Media, Etc.
  • Build Marketing Communications Analytics Dashboard And ROI Decks
  • Project Coordination, Ad Hoc Presentation Development And Assisting With Research, Program Develop And New Venue And Route Book Options (Ride/Drives)



  • Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months
  • Prefer that the candidate is pursuing a degree and within a year of completion. Recent graduates (within last six months) will be considered. Desired candidate will be majoring in PR, journalism, marketing or communications
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail-oriented and organized
  • Uses strategic logic and reason
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to troubleshoot to find solutions independently, within a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Experience – including class assignments or projects – in writing for advertising, marketing, PR and/or news writing
  • Minimum criteria to be consider: proficient in Microsoft Word. Desire proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge and ability to use social media networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. comfortably
  • Courteous phone and email etiquette
  • Appetite and willingness to “get your hands dirty” and become part of the Mar-Comm team
