Golder has a new opportunity for an entry-level Environmental Field Technician for work at field locations in Northeast Washington . The candidate will provide support on environmental projects that involve field studies, data collection and reporting.
Responsibilities willinclude the following:
Collection ofenvironmental field samples from soil, groundwater, air, surface water, andsediment media;
Preparation and operationof equipment in the field;
Equipment calibration,maintenance and repair;
Interacting withsubcontractors, public, and clients;
Working outdoors inall weather conditions;
Compliance withcorporate Health & Safety and MSHA requirements;
Preparing daily fieldreports and field sampling logs;
Assisting withtabulation, interpretation, and reporting of field data.
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills andattributes:
A BS in physicalscience, geology, hydrogeology, or related field strongly preferred;
Minimal experience isrequired, however, applicants with a previous internship/related work preferred;
A proficiency in theuse of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required;
Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills;
Commitment to workingsafely and adhering to health and safety protocols
Must be able to liftand carry up to 40 lbs. of equipment and supplies unassisted;
This positionrequires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods of timeacross varying terrains in remote locations in all weather conditions (rain,snow, heat, etc.);
Should bemechanically inclined and self-motivated;
This position will belocated in Northeast Washington.Localcandidates preferred, no relocation provided.
