Job Description


Coordinates employee-related programs, safety and benefits, participates in resolution of employee relations problems, assists in development of safe workplace and gathers information on worker attitudes to facilitate employee satisfaction by performing the following duties.



● Coordinates new employee orientations, employee assistance, recreational activities, and other employee-related programs.

● Guides management with company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance.

● Applies employee engagement practices

● Assists in leadership training

● Responsible for the administration of FMLA. Includes approval and tracking of employee FMLA, CFRA, PDL, disability, and Worker’s Compensation in accordance with legal nd company guidelines and coordination with third party administrators.

● Assists in writing job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and setting pay /pay grades.

● Assists in updating employee handbook, policy revisions, rules, etc.

● Assists with investigations to resolve employee issues and coordinates response to complaints.

● Interviews workers to gather information on their responses to general factors that affect worker morale, motivation, and efficiency.

● Coordinates with management to apply change management strategy and tactical application.

● Conducts exit interviews and prepares necessary human resources reports.

● Creates and maintains reports specific to turnover, absenteeism, etc.

● Creates regular reports on turnover and absenteeism

Safety & Worker’s Compensation

● Assists the Safety Manager in developing new programs and procedures in maintaining a safe work environment.

● Member of the Safety Investigation team.

● Creates and maintains work comp files.

● Creates reports on injuries/illness due to work place accidents

● Main point of contact for the industrial clinic.

● Follows up on injured workers relating to treatment plans, progress, etc.

● Manages workers comp claims

● Inspects work stations to ensure required changes or actions are implemented.

● Interviews workers to determine reactions to specific actions taken. Prepares reports on workers' comments and actions taken

● Creates and maintains reports relating to injury trends
