Research & Development Specialist II

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Research & Development Specialist II, are to:

  • Conduct and help design agricultural research in adherence to assigned protocols and group specific Standard Operating Procefures(SOP’s);

  • Operate scientific equipment required to conduct needed experiments;

  • Maintain awareness of certifications for both personal and site compliance with Good Laboratory Practices(GLP), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service(APHIS) and Worker Proection Service(WPS) regulations;

  • Participate in all phases of efficacy research projects;

  • Actively look for methods of improvement for experimental processes;

  • Develop proficiency inrelevant and proprietary software platforms;

  • Understand and report on observations made during project evaluations; also may be asked to design follow up experiments;

  • Conduct additional tasks beyond those mentioned above.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. with 0-1 years of experience or B.S. with 2 years of experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in the field of Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Plant Pathology, Microbiology or Nematology;

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory or greenhouse environment.
