PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
At SAP.iO Venture Studio, we’re transforming the way that SAP builds new businesses. We do this by building great products with an insanely great team. We’re looking for an Intern / Working Student to join our SAP.iO Intrapreneurship team in Potsdam, supporting our scouting & education efforts.
About SAP.iO Venture Studio
With more than €20 billion in annual sales, SAP manages an enormous diversity of businesses. However, moving the needle inside of SAP’s dominant enterprise business requires adding more than incremental innovation – it requires the development of massively disruptive organizations.
SAP.iO Venture Studio is tasked to create those businesses, using SAP’s unique position and differentiated data sources to transform industries ranging from talent management to security. Our incubations must be big enough to move the needle at SAP, attack new market opportunities for the company, and be able to be tested through rapid iteration and constant customer feedback.
We identify promising talent and ideas, invest between $750K and $2.5M in seed stage capital, and scale the ventures over time.
About SAP.iO Intrapreneurship
The SAP.iO Intrapreneurship team scouts, educates and enables intrapreneurs, to grow and accelerate business ideas globally to uncover market-creating opportunities for the organization, and develop them within the SAP.iO Venture Studio. To date, the team has sourced 6 strategic investments through grassroots initiatives and entrepreneur-in-residence hires. Based in Potsdam, SAP.iO Intrapreneurship reaches across 6 continents and engages a 7000-employee community through entrepreneurial basecamps, hackathons and workshops, pursuing one common moonshot: a better future for SAP and beyond.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a new member of our team, we would want to empower you to contribute your ideas and strengths to our program's success.
As an Intern or Working Student, you will support us in managing the portfolio of teams in SAP.iO Intrapreneurship’s cohort by, for example, maintaining market data and data produced by the teams, following-up, organising various content prepared by the teams for investment assessments.
You will have responsibility for designing the global curriculum for all SAP employees willing to acquire entrepreneurial skills through a self-paced course available online. Together with our partners and working closely with the Head of Education, you would develop each component of this course, by sourcing high-quality content and looking for the best corresponding exercises or activities to enhance the module. The outcome of your work is going to be implemented on our enterprise MOOCs platform and made accessible to all employees in the form or a recurring, intensive 4-week course. Through developing this course, you'll acquire fundamental knowledge about entrepreneurship, and learn to leverage your analytical skills in determining where to focus and what to include in the curriculum versus what to leave out.
You will also support with organising activities and events we run in different locations worldwide by preparing and collating content, coordinating with on-site teams, room bookings, catering reservations, venue scouting, travel, logistics, evaluation & reporting etc.
You will be essential to helping us foster a strong community interaction by connecting to different stakeholders through our internal community on slack, social media posts, newsletters, presentations etc.
You will also help us with many other operations tasks that help us create a sustainable programme.
