Roles and Responsibilities

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking candidates for an Inside Sales Account Manager – Graduate Hire, who will be responsible for actively hunting new sales opportunities for sales, while selling and supporting customers in the IT technology area. This is a Sales role embedded in HPE’s North American Inside Sales Hub that is focused on Volume and Value accounts in HPE’s Enterprise, Public, or Small & Medium Business segments. The team is responsible for driving outbound marketing campaigns and support of installed base calling efforts. The inside sales rep manages virtually (by phone, electronically or social media) a set of assigned or acquired accounts. The role is responsible for creating and developing account plans, building, maintain and forecasting a sales pipeline. The role works closely with outside sales, channel partners and/or end customers to move sales opportunities to closure


  • Must graduate or have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree between December 2017 to December 2018

  • Experience in customer service and/or sales

  • Must be able to commute to Plano, TX. Relocation assistance is not provided

Desired Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be able to apply develop subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommend appropriate alternatives.

  • Outstanding verbal (including telephone) and written communication skills

  • Basic organization, analysis and communication skills. Knowledge of assigned discipline or technical area.

  • Track record of achievement

  • Ability to work in a fast changing environment

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge in IT Tools (database systems; MS-Office and computer tools)

  • Ability to open conversations and the aptitude to close deals

  • General understanding of sales process. Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Inside Sales skills working directly with customer and cross functional teams is a plus.

  • Hunger for success in a fast paced environment

  • Willingness to overcome new challenges
