Job Summary

Our growing company would like to bring on a Marketing Intern this Fall semester. The successful candidate will be enrolled in a university or college and studying marketing or communications. We’re looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to create a career in marketing. We’re offering a flexible schedule around your classes. We provide training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience.

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern will have a wide range of responsibilities including copy writing, social media monitoring, website and training programs development, and CRM system.

Responsibilities and Duties

Contribute to content creation for all of our company social media accounts

  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)

  • Assist with business development per marketing strategy by preparing presentations for the sales team

  • Help distribute marketing materials

  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

  • Help organize marketing events

  • Performing market analysis and research on competition

  • Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

  • Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas and memes, then capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts

  • Perform research into our clients’ industries and provide actionable tips and advice for expanding their reach in the digital space

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials

  • Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics

  • Support new website development and management

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms

  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative

  • Hardworking and dedicated outlook

  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Email, Docs, Sheets and Slides)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Must have strong organizational skills

  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Strong time management, detail-oriented and prioritization skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in a marketing-related field

  • Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally

  • Some undergraduate education/associate’s degree

Friendly and approachable demeanor with an ability to resolve challenges
