The Comcast Center Cooperative Internship Program (Co-op) is a six-month internship program based in the greater Philadelphia area. The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

The CyberSecurity Co-op plays an active role in maintaining and improving Comcast information risk posture as a member of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) function. The Co-op responsibilities will include participating in the creation and maintenance of Comcast Information Security policies, standards, and exceptions to ensure that CyberSecurity governance is optimized. Responsibilities in this role will also include engaging in the Third Party Risk Assessment Program accountable to ensuring Comcast information is protected at external entities, and lastly facilitating updates to security awareness and training programs so cybersecurity education is kept up to date covering current potential threats impacting Comcast infrastructure and information assets, as well as Comcast Customers.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
-Assist Policy Management program lead with cybersecurity policy maintenance and enhancement activities such as mappings to external authoritative standards bodies, as well as management of new security baselines program
-Serve as lead coordinator for new Security Policy 360 program serving as moderator our GRC Slack.com channel. Facilitate 360 feedback from policy consumers
-Perform UAT testing per scripting for multiple GRC platforms: RSA Archer, ServiceNow and the Policy Portal
-Develop/Maintain metrics on policy exceptions to allow aggregated risk to be measured
-Identify policy exception patterns by analyzing historical exceptions and recommend adjustments to standards as needed to create efficiencies within process
-Engage in security findings management identified from Third Party Risk Assessments
-Assist with writing, editing and maintaining documentation, including presentations, computer-based training modules and corporate training slides for business users and IT professionals
-Develop IT security related policy briefings, presentations and white paper for distribution to organization
-Perform research on a number of cybersecurity topics including market trends, industry leaders, technology, and current news related stories
-Verify the accuracy of documentation and training materials
-Brainstorm and implement improvements to current and future documentation
-Assist in tracking Overall Team event engagements, such as security awareness road shows, as well as overall status tracking
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has a 6 month Cooperative learning track (Sophomores, Pre-Juniors & Juniors preferred).
-Major: CyberSecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems
-Minimum GPA: 3.0
-Experience with security awareness article publications
-Accuracy of policy updates and linkage to external standards bodies
-Content quality for exception management trending reports
-Ability to work independently on repeatable tasks
-Brainstorming suggestions on process and program improvements
-Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.
-Ability to work on a team.
-Authorized to work in the United States of America.
