Are you an engineer who enjoys hands-on work and collaborating with others to solve problems? We are looking for a Test & Development engineer to join our team! This position is depended upon to plan, coordinate and work with technicians to accomplish projects involving the test and/or development of various heavy-duty vehicles.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
Assist with establishing requirements for testing heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment according to project specifications and overall needs
Make recommendations on equipment and/or resources required to accomplish test objectives
Assist in formulating project estimates with engineering and senior department team members
Collaborate with engineering and technicians to create and implement test plans
Create plans for fixtures and test apparatuses and supervise their construction and development
Coordinate, supervise and monitor progress of testing
Advise others on the corrective actions necessary to maintain schedule and cost targets
Communicate project status and testing results as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Internship experience, OR 6+ months of related work experience
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
