Hearst Communications, Inc. Sales Assistant, Town & Country in New York, New York

Town & Country Magazine is in search of an energetic self starter, multi-tasker and team player to support 4 Sales Directors. This Sales Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the NY Advertising Department as well as the Marketing Department. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Complete RFPs (Request for Proposals), processing Insertion Orders, and

sales follow-up

Assist in preparation for sales calls

Work with Marketing team on event execution

Oversee general office tasks: phone coverage, filing, photocopying, expenses,

data entry, and order supplies

Schedule all appointments

Make all travel arrangements for 4 sales executives (hotel, air, car service,

etc.)

Submit weekly T& E expense reports

Compile Issue mailings which include customizing each packet for the

advertiser

Track & distribute all monthly Edit Credits for the categories covered by their

Managers

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree

Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SalesForce)

Outstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with

others

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

Be a self-starter

Be absolutely responsible, reliable and punctual

Candidates must have at least 1 internship experience in a corporate

environment within a media company with exposure to ad sales or marketing

(magazine or ad agency experience preferred)
