Tinybop Product and Community Intern (Paid) in New York, New York

We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting Product and Community intern who is tech-savvy, organized, detail-oriented, and excited to experience a fast-paced startup. You should love children’s media — toys, games, picture books, apps, and more — and be excited to work with a small team where you’ll play a big role. This is a great internship if you’re interested in product management and customer success.

Tinybop has two growing series of award-winning apps, Explorer’s Library and Digital Toys. The Explorer’s Library apps introduce kids to universal subjects taught in classrooms around the world. The Digital Toys apps allow kids to build, play with, and collect their own creations. Our apps have been downloaded by more than 10 million families around the world.

Our apps are available on mobile — through the App Store and Google Play store — and on the web, through a subscription product called Tinybop Schools.

As an intern, your responsibilities will fall into the following categories:

  • QA: Review stories delivered by developers to ensure code changes reflect intended functionality (Pivotal Tracker, Asana)

  • Support: Respond to support emails and reviews from customers (Helpscout, iTunes Connect, Google Play Console)

  • Office management: Assist with day-to-day office needs: e.g. running errands, restocking cabinets, etc.

Note: This is a paid internship.

Requirements

For this internship, you need to be local (that means NYC) and available at least 3 full days a week. We’re looking for a minimum of a three-month commitment with some flexibility around holidays and classes (if you’re still in school). We offer a daily stipend for this internship, and can also offer school credit.

You should have:

  • A desire to solve problems, no matter what it takes

  • A keen eye for detail

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • A love of children’s media

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Google Apps and MS Office Suite

Extra points for:

  • QA experience

  • Experience communicating directly with customers

  • Experience with iOS apps
