Food Network digital seeks a fall 2018 editorial intern to work with the culinary editorial team. We work closely with Food Network Kitchen to create stories, recipes, photos and videos for FoodNetwork.com and FN's social media properties.

Intern must be a rising or current junior, rising or current senior, graduate student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduation date) at an accredited college/university.
Applicants must have completed their sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
Must have previous internship experience and/or participated in college clubs/organizations, and/or in-depth coursework in a related field
Legally eligible to work in the United States. Discovery is unable to sponsor visas for interns. If you are an international student not already studying in the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa, then you have to go through a university or an outside organization (internship placement agency) that will sponsor your visa.
Must have strong oral and written communications skills, as well as exceptional organization and planning skills
You must include your anticipated graduation
Must have an interest in the media and television industries
Duties and Responsibilities
Pitching ideas and writing posts on recipes, holidays, news, pop culture, shopping and more for the FN Dish blog
Researching culinary and lifestyle trends to help provide background for larger projects
Updating and optimizing galleries for major digital events like holidays and seasonal promotions
Programming and building galleries and articles on FoodNetwork.com
Assisting with project management of content creation and recipe development
Pitching ideas for new recipes, stories, listicles and videos as needed
Other ad hoc projects as they come up -in digital, there's always something new!
Our ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a degree in communication, journalism, or similar area of study -or a culinary or food studies program. Must have prior digital media experience, whether that be at a college publication or prior internships, and you should be interested in pursuing a career in digital media and content creation. And, of course, you must love food!
This position is full-time and is located at the Food Network offices at Chelsea Market in New York City.
