Internship Responsibilities:

This summer internship will provide an Accounting or Finance student a strong overview of the work entailed in being part of the Finance Department of a non-profit organization which conducts over 40 national multimedia public service campaigns on behalf of both other non-profit organizations and government agencies. It will also provide exposure to the process of preparing for a fiscal year end audit along with regularly required reporting and analyses.

To support the Finance department and campaign billing functions within the Accounting Department of the Ad Council. This internship will expose a student to varied responsibilities within the Finance Department.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Work on basic account reconciliations and confirming support for Journal Entries• Assist VP Client Accounting Director and VP Asst. Controller in preparing files and documents for the fiscal year end audit with PWC.• Work on supporting and researching Debarment Vendors on Government SAM system.• Analyses of year-end accruals for Audit • Assist in maintaining accounting files and paperless scanning document retention policies• Special projects as assigned.


• Undergraduate-level student who is a self-starter, able to work independently as well as with teams.• Excellent attention to detail.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) and Word
