Job Responsibilities:

RailWorks is a growing enterprise that works on some of the most prominent and complex rail transportation projects in North America. We are seeking a highly motivated Communications/Media Intern to join our team. Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources, the successful individual will help create training content for our Learning Management System (LMS) to be used for internal training purposes geared towards Project Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators, Operators and other related positions. This will include, but is not limited:

  • Conducting information sessions with field operations to understand jobs/training requirements

  • Researching industry standards related to specific jobs

  • Writing scripts and gathering content (i.e. images, video clips)

  • Creating and editing video content

  • Performing voice overs

  • Working closely with HR, communications and operations

Job Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in media, communications or a related field.

  • Previous internship experience in a communications/media role

  • Highly motivated and a creative thinker

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong project management and follow-up skills

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint
