The Internship:

Country Nation’s Festival Department is seeking an intern who will gain experience and assist in the implementation of marketing for our Country Music Festivals. Our overarching goal is to execute engaging media assets to attract, inform and ultimately convert consumers into purchasers. This internship will take place on MWFs and have a minimum of 12 hrs a week. It is UNPAID and students must receive college course credit.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assisting Marketing team in day-to-day marketing maintenance for Country Nation’s Music Festivals

  • Research: Looking into new festival markets for marketing opportunities, demographics, colleges, etc

  • Local Promotions: With the help of the marketing coordinator, learn how to engage with local businesses and coordinate non-paid marketing promotions

  • Creative: Assist with the creation of marketing content, ideas are always welcome here

  • Fan Engagement: Help keep an open line of communication between fans and the festivals by answering their questions

  • Create and maintain a calendar of all country related events happening in the festival markets

  • Other duties as they are assigned

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school

  • This is a non-paid, credit-only internship. Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to complete a minimum of 12 hrs a week

  • Avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artist and genres (country) and an overall interest in the music industry a plus

  • Experience with Excel is a plus but not needed

  • Strong time and project management skills is a must as well as excellent attention to detail
