To provide administrative support for the College of Education and Human Services (CEHS) Student Success Center and for the CEHS Director of Budget, Finance, and Facilities, as it relates to facilities functions and requests.
Respond to correspondence; manage forms, reports, and documents.
Learn to use various types of electronic information systems.
Maintain records and files.
Maintain confidentiality of records and other sensitive information.
Generate reports, monitor deadlines, and update information in related databases.
Provide other administrative support to the Directors of Career Services and Academic Advising and to the Director of Budget, Finance and Facilities, as it relates to facilities functions and requests.
For CEHS Student Success Center:
Serve as the initial point of contact for students and others entering and contacting the Student Success Center for assistance and advising.
Respond to questions from internal and external constituencies about the Student Success Center services and activities.
Manage the check-in process for all visitors at the Student Success Center, document requests, triage questions, and direct visitors to appropriate staff.
Schedule appointments, answer the phone, make copies, and provide information related to Academic Advising, Career Services, and related programs and initiatives.
Serve as point of contact and follow-up for employer job postings and internship opportunities that come into the Student Success Center, including directing employers to post jobs/internships to the university online job posting system (Hire a Red Hawk) and forwarding relevant positions to internship coordinators/departments within the College.
Assist with assessment efforts for the Student Success Center, including but not limited to student satisfaction surveys and generating monthly and annual reports for career services, academic advising and internships.
Supervise the operation and care of office machines and equipment.
Assist with the maintenance of social media accounts.
Support major events and programs throughout the year.
For CEHS Facilities Services:
Respond in a timely way to emails and calls regarding CEHS facilities.
Learn about and establish relationships with the various offices on campus responsible for facilities.
Determine the most appropriate and efficient way to respond to requests for assistance (e.g., contacting another office on campus or addressing the issue within CEHS) and direct or assist those requesting assistance accordingly.
Support the CEHS Director of Budget, Finance, and Facilities in establishing and revising policies and procedures for addressing facilities issues in CEHS.
Coordinate CEHS departmental conference room reservations for class usage after regular business hours.
Maintain storage and furniture inventory for the College.
Prepare requisitions and general facilities work-orders and assist the Director of Budget, Finance and Facilities with large projects and moves.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Degree from an accredited college or university in education, human services, or a related field.
Experience in a higher educational setting (career services or advising experience a plus).
Personable, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational, analytical and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated understanding of excellent customer service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort in working with social media.
