Scentsy Videography Intern in Meridian, Idaho

Scentsy is looking for a creative and motivated Videography Intern to join our team! This person will assist in all aspects of video production, including concept, design, shooting, editing, and delivering a variety of video assets for Scentsy’s Corporate Office. These assets include Consultant training videos, promotional product videos, videos for social media, and internal and external video communications.

This internship is expected to run from May-August.

Things You Would Do:

  • Assist in all stages of video production

  • Assist in the capture of video and audio content

  • Assist in coordination and set-up of lighting and audio equipment during shoots

  • Assist in post-production sound design, audio splicing, color correction, etc.

  • Perform simple animation and compositing work

  • Edit videos with a high level of detail

  • Participate and contribute in brainstorming and concepting of new videos

  • Collaborate with Creative team in piecing together a video’s story before, during, and after a shoot

  • Collaborate on all aspects of video development including equipment prep, audio, camera work, editing, and music

  • Work with the translation team to facilitate translations and voice-overs

  • Travel occasionally based on shoot needs

  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

You Should Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Degree seeking student focusing on Video Production/Digital Filmmaking

  • Portfolio that demonstrates style and technical ability

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required

Things You Should Know & Be Able To Do:

  • Knowledge of video processes, components, and equipment

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability with Canon DSLRs, cinema cameras, and corresponding equipment

  • Knowledge of location and studio lighting

  • Motivated to learn new skills and look for new approaches to produce fresh video content

  • Willingness to work hard with the ability to be flexible and adapt as needed

  • Knowledge of Macintosh computers and all applicable software including Premiere Pro, After Affects, DaVinci Resolve, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sound Editing Software

  • Ability to work well in collaborative team environment

  • Ability to move around and lift equipment as needed to shoot video

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, and perform manual dexterity

  • Ability to occasionally crawl and climb

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

  • Ability to frequently read, comprehend, write, perform basic mathematic calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze

  • Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
