Director of Talent Acquisition
The Director,Talent Acquisition is responsible for defining and leading MITRE’s talentacquisition strategy to support the growth of our talent roadmap and strengthenour recruiting model and programs. As a senior memberof MITRE Corporation’s Human Resources Team, reporting to the Chief HR Officer,this role will partner with the business to identify talent gaps, develop andimplement recruiting tools and processes, and scale the overall TalentAcquisition organization to deliver against MITRE’s hiring plans.
This individual willbe accountable for transforming the talent acquisition function to ensure wehave employees who will deliver on MITRE’s mission.He or she will provide leadership, advocacyand vision to MITRE’s executive team as well as architect and execute full cyclerecruiting to drive predictable outcomes while balancing innovation, efficiencyand quality.Ideal candidate must be able to work withpeople at all levels of a multi-generational and diverse organization and operateat both a strategic and tactical level.
Partner with business leaders toestablish and implement a vision for MITRE’s strategy that drives thesuccessful recruitment of targeted talent internally and externally.
Ensure a multi-generational,inclusive and diverse workforce.
Direct and manage full cyclerecruiting efforts including branding, selection, interviewing, social media,hiring manager training, metrics and reporting analytics.
Cultivate partnerships withuniversities and oversee the management of a large internship program.
Act as a leader, advisor and changeagent to scale and align talent acquisition processes with MITRE’s strategicplan for current and forecasted talent.
Direct and lead the TalentAcquisition team to leverage innovative systems, workflows and processes,including oversight of MITRE’s applicant tracking system.
Manage the Talent Acquisitionworkforce to ensure it is appropriately resourced and supported to meet theevolving needs of MITRE’s hiring managers.Develop the team’s capabilities, providing regular feedback, coachingand recognition to individuals.
Oversee allrecruiting metrics and reporting analytics, and drive change management in allareas of talent acquisition across the enterprise.
Partner with MITRE leadership acrossthe enterprise on strategic talent acquisition initiatives such as inclusionand diversity.
Serve as a senior member of TheMITRE Corporation’s HR Team, providing input, guidance, mentoring andinnovation across the broader HR Function locally and globally.
Knowledge AndSkill Requirements
BA/BS degree required and minimum of10 years experience in Talent Acquisition Management
5 years in a people leadership rolewith strong preference for this experience to be in a tech/fast-pacedenvironment and have demonstrated success with technical recruiting.
Thorough understanding of all facetsof recruiting focused on team and process leadership.
Strong business acumen particularlyin the tech industry, familiar with the competitive talent environment and theagility needed to stay on top in that environment.
Ability to build effective,influential partnerships with executive level leadership – as well as strongrelationship building skills with all levels of the organization.
Ability to take initiative, beaccountable for individual and team results, and motivate self and others toset and achieve very high-performance standards.
Proven results for managing in afast-changing environment, building to scale thoughtfully and intentionally.
Proven experience as a catalyst forcontinuous innovation, champion for change management, and influential andstrategic thought leader.
Evidence of being a strong teamplayer with the ability to facilitate team building, develop effectivepartnerships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels toaccomplish goals.
Detail oriented, well organized withstrong time and project management skills
Excellent communication,presentation and facilitation skills, with focus on results
Knowledge of OFCCP, AAP, and EEOCcompliance as well as global labor regulations preferred.
