Job Description: Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems business is seeking a Community Relations specialist to join its Communications and Public Affairs team in El Segundo, CA. This role supports SAS’ strategic approach to corporate citizenship including outreach programs in customer, employee and stakeholder communities that inspire tomorrow’s professionals to develop and sustain an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and empower today’s military families and veterans through continuing education. Working closely with the Branding & Community Relations senior manager, the specialist will develop, execute and manage internal and external communication activities that support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and promote employee volunteerism across SAS locations in Texas, California, Utah, Mississippi, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Indiana and Massachusetts, with a focus on Southern California. This role will ensure the coordination of an integrated approach to Community Relations programs to include marketing, public relations, government relations, social media and employee engagement. The successful candidate will understand the role of Community Relations in supporting brand and reputation.
