JOB REQUIREMENTS: The primary goal of this position is to work collaboratively across campus and with external partners to enhance students' career development and participation in internships experiences. The Internship and Career Development Coordinator position will provide support and streamline the efforts of the college in building high-impact internship and career development programs. These efforts will align with the mission of Edgewood College, as well as standards of quality developed through professional, federal and state guidelines. Responsibilities: Internship Development and Coordination: Facilitate student learning by assisting students in securing appropriate internships that enhance overall academic experience and gain skills essential for conducting a successful job search. Work collaboratively with faculty and administration to create policies and procedures for ensuring the academic quality and integrity of internships. Employer/Student Relations: Assist the Director of Career Development in ongoing employer relations. Provide support to students in their career development process. Department Coordination, Assessment, and Technology: Maintain and develop functionality of the career management system. Monitor and manage the use and utilization of an internship management system. Contribute to the development of internship tracking and assessment practices. Facilitate evaluation and coordination of events and practices Marketing and Communication: Foster in development and expansion of communications and social media presence aimed at students, faculty and staff, alumni and employers to promote internships and career development opportunities. Process, Procedures and Programming: Facilitate internship and career development event logistics.
