Mississippi Employer Business Incubator Coordinator in Louisville, Mississippi

Job Title: Business Incubator Cooridinator, Job location: Winston County (Must apply by August 3, 2018) This entry-level position will assist in the coordination of business incubator activities and community development initiatives for the Winston Partnership. Emphasis will be placed on increasing business incubator activities, expanding community-lending programs, enhancing entrepreneurial support, and improving Partnership visibility. Job Duties Include: * Coordinate daily activities of the Business Incubator and Winston Community Development entities. * Develop strategies to enhance entrepreneurial activities and increase business incubator occupancy. * Aid in maintaining an active, current database and inventory of buildings and land available for rent, lease, trade, or purchase for new and expanding business and industry. * Improve lending opportunities for small business development and entrepreneurs. * Provide support and technical assistance for the local entrepreneurs and business incubator stakeholders. * Cultivate partnerships and leverage networks to increase the visibility of the Business Incubator and Winston Community Development. * Assist with site tours, seminars, workshops, travel arrangements, special projects, and/or special events. * Work with assigned parties in the development, research, composition, and submission of grants from various funding sources to facilitate economic and community development projects. * Assist in the redevelopment of the WCEDDP website emphasizing content control, social media awareness, branding, and search engine optimization. * Assist in maintaining computerized financial records, handle deposits and assist with other financial and budgetary reports according to designated procedures. * Complete any and all tasks designated by the Winston Partnership Executive Director and the Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with public officials, governmental agencies, business clients, media and the public * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required * Ability to work cooperatively in a small office environment * Ability to work independently and take directions from others * Ability to make public presentations * Organization, time management and interpersonal skills required * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and Adobe Photoshop Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a finance or accounting from an accredited college or university is required. Ideal candidate would possess relevant work experience within an economic development environment or internship. Candidate may be required to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays depending on special events or prospect visits. Physical demands may require candidate to lift over 25 lbs. or move object
