Responsibilities:Support the Transamerica Center for Health Studies in maintaining website and developing new content. Intern will research health care coverage and health and wellness developments from public and private sources; identify promising developments for use by TCHS; write summaries of priority issues; write drafts of materials for website; post content to website, interact with research and digital media teams; keep track of content needed for the launch of initiative; work with public relations team; and other related duties.Take an active role in creating an environment of innovation, collaboration, transparency, accountability and trust.
Qualifications:Candidates must be actively pursuing a degree. Degree of preference is: Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Insurance, Marketing, PR, Communications, etc.Knowledge of Insurance or Healthcare Administration or Public Policy is preferredStrong writing skillsStrong research skillsFamiliarity and Skill in Using Microsoft Outlook/Word/ExcelFamiliarity with LinkedIn and Twitter or other Social Media sitesWebsite development a plus, but not required
Students must be actively pursuing a degree from a college or university and must not graduate prior to completion of internship. Candidates / Students must be located within commuting distance of the LA office.
Pay Benefits and Work Schedule:FLSA status: Part-Time, Non-ExemptThis position will be a part-time position, working approximately 16 hours per weekPosition open immediately running through April 2019, will be located in our LA Office.Pay: $17.00 hourly
