AHF is currently seeking a Creative Marketing intern. The program will be a full time internship of 40 hours per week, and will provide insight for a student who has interest in working for non-profit organization. This position is paid $13.00 hourly.

The marketing department focuses on connecting with AHF's patients, customers, advocates, and the community as a whole through advertisement, e-blasts, social media, events, and various websites. Through our social marketing efforts, we aim to end stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and to promote AHF’s mission of providing medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay.


  • Assists the Marketing department in the research and production of new media, social media, digital placements, print placements, etc.

  • Ability to assist Creative team in making changes to print and digital placement art (e.g. resizing an image, editing text, converting to a different file type) is especially desirable.

  • Apply Creative Design skills for variety of print and digital requests.

  • Assists in proofreading content, resizing, formatting and layout design.

  • Assists in photoshoots and, if applicable, video editing.

  • Uploads e-blasts to email marketing service and revises content based on staff notes.

  • Generates ideas for social media posts and campaigns.

  • Prepares reporting documents on earned media and social media campaigns.

  • Assists in digital research and creating strategies regarding client and employee engagement.

  • Expected to be a team player, who is willing to take on new challenges and specific project assignments as deemed appropriate to support the department’s overall goals and objectives.

Participation in AHF Meetings/Committees:

  • Attends weekly Marketing meeting (Wednesdays 10:30AM-12PM).

  • Attends weekly Creative Meetings (Tuesdays 11:00AM-12PM).

  • Attends all applicable meetings relating to Department projects and policies.


  • Must be a fulltime student (junior/senior) at an accredited 4-year college or post graduate

  • Must have a gpa of 2.75 or higher majoring in Healthcare Administration, Business Adminitstration, or related field

  • Must commit to the full duration of the program and full time hours

  • Must have exceptional computer skills

  • Basic to intermediate abilities in photoshop and/or illustrator

  • Basic to intermediate skill in web applications such as mailchimp or wordpress

  • Basic to intermediate skill in social media and other online marketing
