We are looking for an enthusiastic summer intern with a keen interest in data analysis to join the HomeAway Global Email Marketing Team. We support more than 10 different brands globally via Traveler and Partner e-mails. The team is split across the London office and Austin and split into three smaller teams – Traveler Email Marketing, Partner Email Marketing & Database Email Marketing. We work very closely with other growth marketing channels such as Social and Display.

You will work as part of a collaborative global team in a dynamic technology company. The internship will enable you to learn and master SQL, Tableau, A/B testing methods, email automation platforms and you will gain valuable experience of working in an agile environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with analysis of e-mail campaigns and provide recommendations to help continuously improve our e-mail campaigns
  • Measure and analyse campaign effectiveness, including e-mail and conversion metrics
  • Provide support and analysis of e-mail A/B testing
  • Assist in monthly reporting of e-mail performance to senior leadership
  • Build automated reporting in Excel and Tableau
  • Support the Marketing Automation team with data related queries and audience segmentation
  • Extract data from our database for custom e-mail campaigns

Who you are:

You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking ability
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise your workload in a dynamic environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to successfully deliver recommendations to senior leadership
  • A results-orientated, enthusiastic approach, able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel using functions such as pivot tables and familiarity with VLOOKUP, SUMIF and COUNTIF
  • Passion for technology and digital commerce
