We are looking for Marketing Interns within various business divisions, including NBCUniversal International Networks, NBCUniversal DreamWorks, Universal Pictures International (UPI) and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE).

Responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements

Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division/team, however the main responsibilities of any Marketing Intern will include:

  • Assisting with planning & implementing campaign activities & events, screenings, and trade fairs

  • Working closely with the Marketing Manager in collating various reports and updates for distribution, as appropriate

  • Helping to prepare presentations for events & pitches – from new broadcaster/affiliate deals to financial projection presentations

  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects, conducting research & writing/proofreading copy

  • Providing admin support to the team (e.g. setting up internal/external meetings) & additional support to the necessary Directors/VPs as required

  • Sourcing, resizing and cataloguing images/other assets for relevant internal/external communications and uploading assets onto various NBCUniversal systems

  • Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in release dates/schedules; coordinating campaign elements between multiple departments and regional marketing teams in a timely manner

  • Assisting in implementation of social messaging & content for social pages (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis, including agencies

  • Financial administration support through PO Management, SAP and SNAP

  • Engaging with affiliates in the sourcing, management and supply of creative assets

  • Analysing trends and contributing to team strategy sessions

Education & Qualifications

You will be studying or recently graduated with a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12-month internship.

Essential

  • A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop career in Marketing

  • Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload

  • Self-starter & fast learner; ability to work collaboratively within a busy team; work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative & keep calm under

  • Strong office administration and IT skills; confident/advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)

  • Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management

  • Understanding of/active interest in Digital Media, Social Media & online marketing

  • Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly & responsibly

  • Proactive & enthusiastic; willingness to learn; “can-do” attitude

Desirable

  • Previous work experience in a similar environment

  • Understanding of Content Management System

  • Knowledge of the international film/television industry (for NBCUniversal DreamWorks some knowledge of the international Kids TV industry)

  • High level of creativity, incl. design skills; basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite may be beneficial

  • Studying or having completed a degree or equivalent course specializing in Marketing, Communications, Media or Business related subjects would be an advantage
