We currently has a great opportunity for a college internship for a Marketing Intern - Fall!
Our Marketing department consists of Marketing, Public Relations, Interactive Media, Social Media, Marketing Analytics, Copywriting, Graphic Design and Advertising. We work together to generate strong brand awareness across multiple platforms resulting in brand awareness and lead generation. Through Marketing, we communicate the value of our brand and business to our customers while managing customer relationships. This includes print collateral, website content, events and more. Public Relations helps support our Schools’ relationships with their communities, through brand recognition. This occurs through securing earned (unpaid) news placements including related to national, market-wide and local events, partnerships and unique lesson plans. Social Media works to engage a wider audience through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc. Our Social Media team also works on improving our Schools’ online presence through SEO (search engine optimization), which is the process of getting traffic to our Schools’ webpages, as well as building their online reputation, managing business listings and tracking reviews.
The Marketing Intern has strong initiative, willingness to learn and ability to work both independently and as a team member. The Marketing Intern supports energetic, collaborative, deadline driven Marketing team by conducting research, writing, proofreading, editing, general administrative responsibilities, participating in projects/activities/events/strategic functions, and brainstorming sessions.
(20 - 30 hours per week paid internship)
Supports the internal Marketing team in activities related to local, market and national campaigns, events, efforts and initiatives
Conducts research, as needed
Drafts, edits and/or proofs communication and press materials, as needed
Participates in creative brainstorming, as needed
College junior or senior majoring in Marketing, Public Relations or related Communications field
Ability to take direction/feedback well
Desire to grow and learn
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, requiredPositive attitude
Strong attention to detail
Great interpersonal skills
