FOX4 WDAF-TV is offering paid internship opportunities for college students during the summer and fall. The internship program will pay an hourly minimum wage.
Intern will work under the supervision of the Manager of Digital Content and Executive Producers. Intern will learn to research, write, and publish news stories, social media posts, and social videos for online and broadcast. Emphasis will be on students interested in producing digital content for online, as well as contributing content for on-air. Applicants must be college junior/senior or graduate level students. Internships run 10 weeks, between 18-24 hours per week.
News department internships are scheduled to begin concurrently with the student’s school calendar and run for 10 weeks; there is no provision for time off for spring break or similar vacation interruptions. Scheduling is worked out to the mutual satisfaction of the student and the WDAF-TV department head.
Students must have some college level experience in the area where they wish to intern.
Internships run for 10-12 consecutive weeks.
Interns must be available a minimum of 16 hours per week, to a maximum of 30 hours per week.
Interns must have a valid driver s license.
Freshman and sophomore students are not eligible.
Interns must have a valid drivers’ license or state I.D. card.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
