Entity and activity description

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communicationsand supports a collection of technology teams at Air Liquide including Global Markets & Technologies, Hydrogen Energy, Maritime and others. These teams deliver technology solutions (industrial gas equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth. We are actively involved in setting up the hydrogen energy industry at a global level. The Group has delivered more than 100 hydrogen vehicle filling stations worldwide. We manufacture a comprehensive line of gas separation membrane products for industry including natural gas and associated petroleum gas treatment and provide other products and services to a growing global market.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications & Marketing Specialist to support our external and internal communications. You will promote a positive public image, the Air Liquide brand and control the dissemination of information on our company’s behalf, both in the commercial market and within Air Liquide.

Outstanding communication, copywriting and project execution skills accompanied by direct experience in advertising make a strong communications and marketing specialist. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of colleagues and external parties alike.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective corporate communication strategies in conjunction with key stakeholders and colleagues
  • Manage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
  • Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media and company websites
  • Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
  • Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
  • Build effective relationships with business leaders, colleagues and external contacts
  • Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
Required Qualifications
  • BSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
  • 3+ years communications experience with strong preference for advertising agency and/or technical organization background
  • Superior, demonstrated copywriting and editing skills in English language
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
  • MS/MA in Communications strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • Experience in web design and content production is a plus
  • Relevant internship/co-op experience
  • Working knowledge of Google platform, photo and video-editing software is an asset

  • This role will involve travel; estimated at 30-50%
