Our Marketing Department is looking to fill an internship position for the
Spring semesters of 2017. Music Business majors are encouraged to apply.
This is a part-time unpaid position for academic credit, with the possibility of future
Areas you will be learning about:
Creating local contests and promotions
Updating various network databases
Market research surveys
Producing advertising packets
Pulling ads from a variety of newspapers
Keeping upcoming concert files updated and organized
Brainstorming promotional concepts to help effectively market concerts
Exposure to local sponsors, businesses and concert venues
Ideal candidate will be open to learning about concert marketing, media buying and promotion.
Applicant must be doing an internship for university credit. We are looking for an intern (ages 18+) who is interested in learning to market events, especially concerts.
Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and must know how to photocopy.
Applicant must be detail oriented, have reliable transportation and lots of enthusiasm.
No specific major required, but communications or marketing knowledge is helpful.
Time Schedule: 14 hours a week
Superior written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Stellar phone etiquette is mandatory
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Basic knowledge of HTML tags
