This position is with the Storage Technologies Group within Intel's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG). NSG is one of the fastest growing business groups at Intel! In this role you'd join a R&D team of top-notch engineers setting the course for the future of storage in the Storage Technologies Group. STG is responsible for pathfinding and architecture of Intel's solid-state storage products using both 3D NAND and 3DXPoint Optane media technologies.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Understand existing design and code implementations of storage devices.

  • Responsible for low-level design and implementation of next generation security features in the form of proof-of-concepts (POC) as well as full feature development for shipping product.

  • Responsible for developing software and firmware code to showcase feature demos.

  • Responsible for documenting various stages of software development.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Minimum 1+ year of experience in the following:

  • Programming using C/C++ Scripting using Python/Bash

  • Computer internals and operating systems

  • Software and firmware debugging

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge / experience in:

  • Security and privacy primitives including understanding of cryptography concepts.

  • Hands-on usage of crypto libraries such as OpenSSL, mbedTLS.

  • Storage protocols such as NVMe, SATA is a plus.
