In this role you will take a lead as the interface between the Customer Lab Service (CLS) and our Marketing and Sales force. You will play an active role in organizing CLS campaigns that create business enabling activities. As associate scientist you will apply scientific findings from various CLS activities into instruments that enhance the sales of our products and services. Led by our marketing strategy, your main role will include:
The active support of the Service Innovation Process byo translating needs from sales and marketing into R&D driven innovation projects;o project management, including the execution of projects in collaboration with team members;
The translation of CLS data intoo product and service-oriented value;o personalized and customer-centric information;
The launch of CLS campaigns or CLS services concurrent with the launch of new Kemin Products or Services;
The design of protocols and trials in collaboration with Product Managers (PM) and Technical Service Manager (TSM) colleagues;
CLS presentation and representation activities;
Your work will be performed in close collaboration with other members of CLS, TSM, PM and Marketing in Belgium and other Kemin laboratories in the EMENA region.
Building cross-functional relations with TSM, PM, R&D and Sales;
Responsible for the value-added content and customer-centric interpretation of CLS data;
Development of new analytical methods and improvement of existing methods and services to increase efficiency;
Translate findings into marketing collaterals, including success stories, technical literature, webinars, promotional video’s, web content…
CLS presentations and representations including webinars, video’s, fairs, road shows, customer visits, innovation days…
Organization of CLS workshops, customer demo’s, value presentations…
Research into specific scientific areas that help to further develop new services that are valuable for our customers;
Drive the service innovation process projects.
PhD or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or related field, preferentially with business management back-ground or equal through experience;
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience;
Flexible to interact in a team environment and hands-on mentality;
Creative mind to identify new ideas for service and product development;
Good communicator with clear business acumen to assure a professional collaboration with various Kemin functions and our customers;
Experienced with data analysis and a knowledge of a broad range of lab technologies;
Computer literate and knowledgeable of digital and social media;
Strong knowledge of English language;
Ability to assimilate knowledge on processes and products in a short period of time;
Time management and organization skills to assure on time delivery of lab results to our customers;
Good knowledge and/or experience with quality systems such as ISO.
