THE POSITION

Helping supervisors find the right candidate to fill a vacant position can be challenging. The Conservation and Environment HR Delivery Center is looking for an innovative, experienced, and energetic recruiter to spread the word about Commonwealth career opportunities in a wide range of job titles in the following departments: Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources, Environmental Protection, Environmental Hearing Board and the Milk Marketing Board.

  • Due to the nature of the work, and the location of delivery center installations, this position will require overnight travel; sometimes to remote locations throughout the commonwealth. Out of state travel may also be required.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The individual selected for this position will coordinate all recruitment activities for agencies covered by the Conservation and HR Delivery Center. This includes identifying recruitment opportunities; developing recruitment materials; attending recruitment events; preparing advertisements and coordinating with the Communications Office on social media efforts.

The position is also responsible for administering the intern programs for all agencies covered by the HR Delivery Center. This includes disseminating information, posting internship position opportunities for application, evaluating eligibility, and processing selections. In addition to internship programs, this position will also assist in promoting and staffing other youth and special project initiatives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:

  • Must meetPA residency requirement

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - one year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical; or one year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
