This10-week, 40hr/week internship offers exposure to real-world business. As aSpectrum Intern, you ll be essential to two teams your respectivedepartment and your Intern peer group. Partner with other accomplished anddedicated interns on research and cross-functional projects. You ll have anopportunity contribute real value and meaning to the larger organization.Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule.You ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions andnetworking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29 and 30,webinars, community service, and final presentations. As part of a peercommunity, you ll contribute to cross-functional group projects, andshould be ready to take on new projects as they come up.What you can expect in this role * Gain valuable experience working alongside 100+ designers as part ofa highly specialized design team, encompassing UX and UI design, contentstrategy, UX research, prototyping, industrial design and accessibility * Contribute to the user experience of a product by crafting content tofit product needs (product copy, instructional text, UI labels, errormessaging, marketing copy, etc.) * Understand design thinking and user experience design best practices;in particular, understand the difference between copywriting and contentdesign * Help ensure consistent cross-product messaging across all digitalchannels (web, mobile, TV, wearables, print, voice) * Create copy that works as part of a UX/UI design solution that isengaging and effective to help achieve business goals * Collaborate with product managers, designers and developers tounderstand -- and write content that meets -- business and technicalrequirements * Create and/or adhere to voice/tone/style/brand content guidelines * Accept editorial feedback from stakeholders/peers and be great atincorporating it into your work.
